Amplifier keeps shutting off (Read 15 times)

EUJ New Member Offline AudiophileTalk Rules! Posts: 1	Amplifier keeps shutting off Dec 31^st, 2009, 12:13pm What could be wrong with my Yamaha rx-v459? It's only happened just now. Every time I turn it on it turns off after 3 seconds... I've removed ALL cables and speaker wires at the back and it's still turns off... What could it be?

My friend had that kind of trouble once before. I think one of the speaker outputs was shorted and the receiver would keep shutting off. Sounds like the same problem. He sent it to the repair shop to get it fix. After that it worked fine but the repair shop never let him know what caused the problem. I sure they charged him too much and it was prolly a simple fix. Just my two cents.
